AESTHETIC MEDICAL CLINIC
Dorsal Hump
A dorsal hump is one of the most common reasons people consider rhinoplasty, surgical or non-surgical. At our Clifton, Bristol clinic, Mr Simon Lee, a Consultant Plastic Surgeon, offers both and will give you an honest assessment of which approach is right for your anatomy.
Dorsal Hump Correction
A dorsal hump, a bump or prominence on the bridge of the nose, is one of the most common reasons people seek rhinoplasty, both surgical and non-surgical. At our Clifton, Bristol clinic, we are in a somewhat unusual position: Mr Simon Lee is a Consultant Plastic Surgeon who regularly performs rhinoplasty, and the clinic also offers non-surgical nose reshaping with dermal filler. That means we can genuinely advise on both routes with experience.

Non-Surgical Dorsal Hump Correction
For many patients with a moderate dorsal hump, non-surgical rhinoplasty using filler can create a meaningful improvement in the nasal profile. Placing small, precise amounts of filler above and below the bump makes the nose look straighter and more refined. The bump itself is not removed, but its prominence is visually reduced by improving the surrounding proportions. Results are immediate and reversible. Prices from £350.
This approach suits patients with a small to moderate bump on a nose of otherwise reasonable proportions. It is not appropriate for patients who want to reduce the overall size of the nose, or for those in whom the hump is associated with a significant deviation.

Surgical Rhinoplasty
Surgery allows the dorsal hump to be physically reduced, filing down the cartilage and bone to create a smooth, refined profile. This is the only option that can permanently and materially change the nasal structure. Mr Lee has performed many surgical rhinoplasties.
