AESTHETIC MEDICAL CLINIC

Stem Cell Therapy

Stem cell therapy in aesthetic medicine uses preparations derived from mesenchymal stem cells to deliver a concentrated source of regenerative signals to the skin or scalp. Stem cells produce exosomes, growth factors and cytokines that stimulate tissue repair, collagen production and cellular renewal. The preparations we use at our Clifton, Bristol clinic are pharmaceutical-grade, cell-free products derived from carefully characterised stem cell lines, not live cells.

This is an area of rapidly developing science and clinical application. The evidence base is building, and the results we see at our clinic are encouraging. It is used primarily for patients with advanced skin ageing, significant acne scarring, or hair loss that has not responded adequately to PRP alone.

Applications at Our Bristol Clinic

Facial skin rejuvenation and anti-ageing. Acne scarring. Hair loss and scalp health. Post-procedure recovery and healing.

How It Is Delivered

Stem cell preparations are delivered by injection into the dermis or scalp, or applied topically immediately after microneedling. Treatment protocols are tailored to the individual. A course of three sessions is typically the starting point.

Frequently Asked Questions, Stem Cell Therapy Bristol

  • Are live stem cells injected?

No. The preparations we use are cell-free, meaning they contain the regenerative factors produced by stem cells but not live cells themselves. This makes them safe and well tolerated.

  • How does stem cell therapy compare to exosomes?

There is overlap. Exosomes are vesicles produced by stem cells and carry many of the same regenerative signals. Some preparations contain both. We will explain the specific products we use at your consultation.

  • Is it suitable for everyone?

A consultation is required to assess suitability. We will discuss the evidence, the expected outcomes and whether this approach is appropriate for your concerns.
